March 14- 19th
After completing 4days road trip covering the west coast back in Jan, it was high time to get on the road again for the East Coast states of Kelantan, Terengganu & Pahang.
This time the trip lasted 6 days covering 1,780km. We started from KL/PJ north towards Kota Bharu through the middle of Peninsular Malaysia across Pahang & Kelantan. After touching the most northern point of Kelantan, we drove south towards Kuantan along the coast. The final leg was back inwards again to home using the old East-West highway to bypass the usual Karak highway.
Along for the ride were 2 other friends with the same intentions of covering the backroads and searching out as much of the local sights possible. We managed to camp for 4 nights and enjoyed the luxury of a proper bed at a friend’s home on our last night at Kuantan.
There were plenty of interesting places, unique food and amazing friendliness of the local people. But will summarize the highlights into 3 different stories based on the 3 states ventured. The 4th link provides jottings about road trip in Malaysia based on the first trip done.
